Hi,
Our sincere apologies for the inconvenience of the problems from last night / this morning. A problem arose with the site server that our system admins resolved as soon as possible.
Outages are frustrating for us as well but we're doing our best to improve the service with redundancy so this won't happen again.
Thanks for bringing this up.
At the moment the lobby rooms such as the Pool / Beach that we've created allow directing, as per the chat rules:
"Please do NOT direct members on what they are to display or do in 'No Directing' rooms."
If you think reversing this and making the Pool / Beach no directing and then having a separate room for directing would be better, we wouldn't have a problem doing this.
Our condolences to the family.
Thank you for your comment admin, but what is the pont of such a system, the picture is so bad that we doubt that the lady's own mother would recognise her also her profile has not been completed, so who, what or where is she ??
It would seem that any pic,no matter how bad, can be put on here and because many people like us, look to see what it's all about, it thus becomes Pic of the month, where is the sense in that ??
It does not look as if the member has been back since joining so what is the point of her membership ??
Fair questions but ones that the members on the site who mainly view photos could answer or even Lindasmith herself
From our side, as long as the photos uploaded comply within the Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) they will be approved onto the site. We also wouldn't decide whether someone's membership was worthwhile, if someone wanted to leave the site, they could do so via the Cancel options.
I wonder what next month will bring us :rascal:
Do we get to see the viewing figures lol ????
Here's the top 5 for December if this helps - you can see the photo views.
1. Lindasmith
2. rozexxy
3. DishyDonna
4. DishyDonna
5. Dilara
I think we can see a trend on the type of photos most of the site users are checking out
The picture of the month is calculated by the system for the most photo views for that particular month. We don't chose it, the members who are viewing photos throughout the site do.
Sorry we're just investigating this.
You can review your own location Settings at any point here:
Sincere apologies guys, we believed that this should now be resolved.
On a lighter note, we will be launching a brand new version of the site within the few couple of weeks so I hope that you will be here to enjoy it with us.
We're still lurking around 8)
Fantastic response Admin thanks. Only problem is that my profile says I am a free member! But I definitely am not!
Whoops, sorry, just taking a look.

Sorry, I'm normally a slow picking up forum posts. My door is always open for PMs.
Point 1, we don't feel that it's our responsibility to close accounts without permission. If someone wants to leave the site, they can follow the cancellation steps. We have seen user sign up and then not use the site for months - they received one PM and they've since used the site daily.
Point 2, after complaints we withdrew the notice on profiles that users were free or paid members. It was claimed that it was an unfair judgement that they couldn't pay the site fees thus putting off any one getting in touch and pointless them being members.
There is still a backdoor to find premium members, by using the Search Members function:
Admin.
Point 1. OK fair enough but you have the technology to show far more accurate dates than "Last used more than 2 weeks ago". If a member is dormant and hasn't used the site for 3 months or more we'd like to know as that means they are unlikely to be active players. So as a 'tool' to aide your paying members why not extend the "More than.." field to offer more information or more dates...More than 3 months, more than 6 months as examples. You have the data, you already have the code in place so all you have to do is extend the range of dates.
It's a fair point and understandable. Currently if you search for profiles, the results will be ordered from the latest members to log in, to the last. Restructuring the notice when someone last logged in isn't something that we can do right now, it'll be deferred to a later date and looked at again.
Point 2. "Complaints"? From who? I can guarantee it would not have been from paying members as this is a topic we all seem to comment on, so it could only be a complaint from the free members. So, sorry guys, it doesn't make sense. Again, surely the paying members have 'more rights' than free members? All we are asking for is some way of identifying real, active, probable players and none of us want to waste time trying to open relations with people who can't respond. And as for the backdoor, yes we know it is available but when a member is viewed by someone or if they click on other links we can't distinguish free from paid. As for the 'unfair judgement' statement don't you think it is also unfair to your paying members? So, how about a compromise...why not add a new icon "We're interested" so paying members can let free members know that genuine players would like to open discussions. That way members know they don't need to re-visit a profile and that their job is done in one click and free members know there is interest and have to pay to follow up.
Resolved.
Point 3. As for open to PM's - how do we do that, just add Admin in the address line?
Correct, enter 'Admin' or select Profile just on the left under my post name.
Point 4. Why can't we preview a new thread before it's added?
Should be now fixed.
Point 5. Can we have a button at the bottom of Forum threads to go back to the top please!!
Now included.
Point 6. Suggestions: There have been a few threads offering suggestions to improve an already good site but we never see responses from Admin. Maybe you would say PM Admin but these are often better as posts in the forum as different people can offer different viewpoints. So why not add a Feedback forum? Shouldn't be too difficult should it?
Now up and running.
Point 7. It's really hard to compose posts of any length in these small boxes...can we have them bigger please?
Now longer.
Point 8. Can we have an option to see who has added you as a favourite please? The last 10 or so items needs beefing up, so a complete list would be good - like the list you get when you click "my favourites" but showing those members who have added you?
Hmmm, can we, please? :bounce:
It's going to be the same list which shows who has looked at your profile.
Point 9 And can we please have a list of emoticons in the chatroom that we can just click on like in messenger so we don't have to remember about a 100 of 'em! Can we pretty please admin... I will be your best friend... I promise.... we LOVE you admin.... :inlove:
We've looked into this before and regrettably it can't be implemented to the current chat code. If there's a new version rolled out in the future, it would be more realistic.

I'd like to see an option on the search function that allows you to search by member's last activity date, to allow you to filter out the 'dead' profiles.
Touched on above, the results are shown from the most recent user online and backwards.
Point 11.

How about only allowing free members 20 views of profiles and then they are locked out until they become members.
Something to weed out the fakes maybe? Or are the fakes only free members? Fake couples who are actually single men....SP requires a phone call from the female while signed in so they can check stuff?
Easier access to emotes in chat!!!
We have our own means to weed out fake users, if you're sceptical about someone, submit a report and we'll do the rest.

would like to get an e mail when someone has replied to a thread on the forums that I'm following, so you "subscribe" (I think that's the word they use on other web sites) to the thread.
That's going to be a lot of work, again, deferred to a later roll out of the site.

I would like a list of emoticons in the chatroom that you can just click on instead of having to remember them as I can only remember about 5!
You can print them out or flip between the chat room and the emoticon thread. Due to the complicity of the chat application, it can't be available from a list.

Yeah ...... bring back the full paid member or free member status.
Done.

A simple search function on the fourms .
1) All posts by member name
2) all new posts (today )
3) all posts with no replies.
Work in progress with this at the moment, keep an eye out at the end of the day or later tomorrow.

how about a section on the 'my groups' page that lets you know about new activity on groups you're a member of?
Deferred to a later version.

I just thought of something else...
On a person's profile it says when they were last "seen". But this is just limited to today, yesterday, a week ago and more than 2 weeks ago. But more than 2 week ago could mean they have either been on holidays for 2 weeks or they registered, had a look for a day or 2 and never came back.
An actual date of last activity would be useful as well as maybe having accounts go inactive after a certain amount of time. We could then serach for only active users.
The site currently says there are registered users. But how many are those active users who have paid subscription? A small percentage if I would guess.
Oh and while I am at it...
The favourites list doesn't work too well as it often says that one of my faves is in the chatroom when they're not! Plus, I have been chatting to one of my fave's in the chatroom and on my list of favourites it said he wasn't even online.
Also, it would be good to be able to search in forums and stories by other means, such as by date posted or by user name.
Oh and can we have a bigger box to type stuff in for the forums and profiles?? I ramble on a bit and lose track of how much I have written cos can only see 5 lines worth! lol
OK, sorry just getting really picky now.... have I used up my 5 things yet??
Am I helping?
:bounce:
Some points previously mentioned or being worked on at present.

I'll tell you something that I'd like to see, and that's the removal of the "more than 2 weeks" since a person has last logged on thing on someone's profile. We waste so much time trawling through profiles of people that haven't been on here for years and years.
Covered.
Point 19.
Sorry guys but it has to be said...
"Members who may interest you" they never do cos none of them even look real. How about something less random...or just lose the feature altogether?
The suggestions are random selections from the member table, the intention of the feature was to display users that you wouldn't normally look at. They 'may interest you', obviously your examples didn't.
Take a look 8) We're working on some of the smaller quicker changes, however, some suggestions which involve a lot more work will be deferred as a future improvement. I'll give a breakdown the other thread.
Actually two requests:-
ONE: I have been going back over some early (?) posts back to 2004 and there are still profiles on here that say "More than 2 weeks ago" for their last visit and they have 1 or 2 posts. Surely a percentage of these will be inactive profiles? It would help the ACTIVE users if these inactive profiles were marked as such after, say 3 months of no activity. Good idea or not (Admin don't say it can't be done cos it can!)
TWO: When we first joined free members were easily identified while browsing profiles. It used to say something like "XXX is not a full member". This was helpful and saved time. Why did it change and why can't we have it back? Good idea or not (Admin don't say it can't be done cos it can!)
The site boasts members at the time this is written but we all know not all of them are fully paid members and frankly we'd rather see quality more than volume, so the old adage of 'less is more' rings true here. So come on Admin, let's get some help on this.
And before you moan back at us let us say we LIKE this site, it's among the best we've seen and all we want is to make it even better and you can still show the big numbers to newbies and possible members but give the paid members better tools...please!
We love Admin!
:bounce:
P.S. Why can't we preview a new thread before it's added?
Thats not something that would be possible here I'm afraid.
There's been some asumptions made about who can see what in the chatroom, I'd like to set the record straight.
When in the chatroom, neither moderators or site admins can view whispers, we do however have chat logs which we keep for up to 90 days and we do state that in the chat rules, the logs include all conversations including whispers, its never been a secret, but I have mentioned the fact in the chat rulesjust in case anyone is under any illusions that its acceptable to break site rules in a whisper.
Its also worth mentioning that although the chat logs are recorded, the admin team only refer to them when support tickets come in to verify complaints and take action, we have neither the time or inclination to read every statement in there pretty much in the same way that microsoft doesn't review every email sent on a account or every conversation on their instant messenger.
I was going to say the term ' sister ' initially Serens ...... but SP was independant from SH ...... till SH bought it out !! Did anyone else notice any changes too tho ....... ie especially in the aggresive way the site advertises and mislead's ??!!
'Sister' site usually just means owned by the larger site anyway really !! Without sounding cynical ...... SP has gone thro a lot of changes since the site was initially established - its just a shame most changes haven't been for the better !! Now tho ...... who mentioned anything to do with money hungry revenue grabbing business people rather than lifesytle concerned likeminded swinging site ownners ??!! lol xxxx
Be very careful what you are stating.
SP was built and is ran by the same company that owns it now.
If you have constructive feedback on the site, please feel free to share this.
This has been covered several times in the past with the most recent one here:
Surely, admin, you mean Nope, 16 x 2ghz processors with 8gb ram ;)
We've had a few teething problems so we've reverted back to the original server. We'll hopefully be on the new one soon.
We're back in business.
Sorry for any inconvenience caused.
Sorry guys, we've been upgrading the server. Shortly it will be hosted on a 32ghz beast of a machine.
Your description matches the exact one of a user that is using an older version of Flash. Not only would the main chat text be missing, the labels on the buttons would also be unavailable.
Sounds like you need to update your Flash Player. Either copy and paste the following address into your browser or google "flash player" - the link should be the top result.
This arguement is based on the fact that someone would pull your unique ID out of the air and want to type this into google. You are able to mimic this because you know your own ID and consequently find your own profile.
I'll take the closest example -
If you type 1998 into google, you'll find thousands upon thousands of sites that mention the year 1998 - the account on this site wouldn't be listed in the results because it isn't how google works. You would need to enter the exact unique ID which is 1998_7610.
We accept unique usernames/aliases on the site to aid your privacy. If you have selected a name that someone in the real world knows and you think that they would type this into google for an unknown reason, please PM an admin to have your name changed.
We allow aliases, non specific locations and private galleries for those users who are concerned about their privacy. There is absolutely no way that we would want to exploit this.
This post has been made to prevent an unnecessary scare and give you some information on how google works. I hope that I don't see people pulling this post apart and interpreting something totally different than what it was intended for.
Hi All,
We will be shortly adding some new Extra features to the site which will only be available under the Extra membership option. This will include:
- Photo Tools
- Online Notifier
- Profile Genie
- Photo Links
- Unlimited MMS Photo Credits
- Highlighted Profiles
- Larger Photo Capacity
- Larger Video Capacity
- Site Diary
- Urgent Technical Support
We are not going to take any thing away from what is already available, the above features will come as an optional upgrade that we will be offering.
We will be giving every current Premium User two weeks to have a taste of the Extra facilities, we won't pressure any one into taking up the offer. The regular price of the upgrade is for 12 months and this will only be available to Premium Members.
If any one wishes to give their feedback on the ideas, please wait until you've fully tried them for for at least a day.
Thanks,
Admin Team 8)
