Hi thegnomeathome
I am not saying it bout musicmatch but do be carefull bout FREE programes you may already know quite a lot of the the ones that look more reputable do have some nasty things they bury in your as we all know you dont get out for nowt
Absolutely! Totally agree with this Marc, adware is rife amongst most free program downloads that you can get off the internet. This prog though, as far as i know, is the free version of a professional program which you can pay for and the creators use it to get you to upgrade. Ive had it on my machine for a few months with no problems. So should be ok hopefully.
But in general, Marcs advise is spot on. Best thing to do is to run a search on google before downloading and see if anyone has written about the program containing virus/adware/malware etc. You can never be too careful.
Hi Bibi
Do a search on the internet for MUSICMATCH 6.0 this will allow you to capture audio into a wav file on your pc. (Its completely free)
Once you have the wav file, it depends on what cd burner you are using. Most will allow you to burn audio cd's. (Nero definately does)
Just drag the wav files and it will convert them to a format ready for your cd. then burn it.
Hope this helps
Agree mith MG. Pinnacle 10 excellent program for editing. Also adobe Premier for editing and Adobe Encore for mastering to DVD are great. Sorry dont really know anything about s-video apart from it was the best standard fr quite a long while.
cheers!
Hi j_and_k
Sorry about that, not really sure about doing it without firewire. As MG said, USB is too slow. (USB 2 - which most modern computers have is actually faster than firewire, but it cannot regulate its speed and you might find that your dv goes all weird in the middle of trasferring)
The only other way is by transferring onto dvd using a dvd recorder although if you haven't already got one, its an expensive option.
Acutally - anotherway and by far easier is to get someone off here to transfer it for you. It can then be put onto a dvd with raw footage for you to edit on your laptop. Im sure someone on here would be happy to help.
If i can find any other way i will let you know
cheers

Hi Bibi. Yes, there are a few things that you can do to transfer them. Software from Pinnacle or Adobe (premier) will both do the trick. The main problem is the hardware to connect your video machine to your pc. As videos are analogue, you will need a convertor. (You can get these for about £40 from pinnacle and other places. - I will find ya the name soon), but easily the most successful and easy way to do it is to use a dvd recorder that plugs into your TV. These are quite cheap now and if you just plug your video into them, you can burn directly to dvd with no loss of quality. Will let ya know about the converter soon as i found it.

Got to say, that i have been lucky to have had a few very nice email replies from emails I have sent. Not all, but most of the people on here seem to be both genuine and welcoming. I guess it depends on your expectations.
Chose mine cos it was a damn silly name and made me laugh. (I might have been drunk at the time! ;)
so, im balancing on the roof looking all moody and evil but the kids just laugh at me? what am i doing wrong?
I think you might need to be dressed all in black?
Just been reading a thread below about males posing as females. I was in the chat room last night and my icon on the right said I was a female??? I have just been in again and it seems ok now. Honestly didn't do anything that i know of to alter it. I also noticed that Diz a couple of days ago showed up as a single female, so I know its not just me.
Just thought i would make people aware. If I do chat as a female, I promise im not.
(Sorry Diz, hope this is ok mentioning you, I know your a couple.)

Thats not bad. Can you use it as a webcam as well? Sounds like a good deal.
Hi to everyone.
Been hanging around for a short while just reading and having a look at what everyone is up to. Some great reading and viewing on this site. Love the video chat although been a bit too shy to say anything yet! Will get there shortly. Anyway if anyone is having a party in the Manchester area, would love to come to see what its all about. Cheers...
