Private Gallery invites??????
Bays huns you guys are not thick at all infact you have probably hit the nail on the head ... some peoples conversational skills are non existant sadly. If we have chatted to someone and agree to swap private galleries then that's one thing, but we too get sent peoples pg's and have sometimes never even heard of them let alone spoken, so we don't send ours back. Is it really that difficult or too much to ask to at least introduce themselves? likewise with some there's a few who will chat happily for a while then suddenly say ... oh you are looking for different things to us.. and never speak again! We regularly chat to single guys, single fems and couples whether we want different things or not, because we see the social side of things as important too ... but hey ho cest la vie as they say in cardiff :giggle: xxxxxxxxx

On the odd occasion that I've received one from someone I don't know or haven't spoken to, I usually think it's just a case of mistaken identity and they've lost the plot.... I'm a bit of cynic like that though lol

We even put it on our profile that we wouldn't respond to pg's unless there was an accompanying message. Didn't work one bit which just goes to show that people do not read profiles.

Really not bothered if we get unwanted PGs or mail, if we aint interested we just ignore or delete, no harm done.
My only complaint with PGs is when you say have you any face pics, they send you an invite and its all cock/pussy shots. :mad::mad::mad:

When we first joined SP..almost a year ago now... I (Mr MWM :bounce
was guilty of browsing the membership and adding anyone who I liked the look of as a favourite and then sat back to see what happened. But then I realised that when we were added we rarely did anything other than check out the adders profile, unless a whole load of boxes were checked (we're really fussy!!).
We did experiment with sending unsolicited Gallery Invites out to members that we liked but that also rarely had the desired effect...as so few of the PG's we got back had faces in them (so, so disappointing) and I confess we do still send out some now but 90% of the time we now only send when asked or when we see something we really like.
But I still think sending PG's is a good first step as you can't always chat, in fact I rarely do cos Mrs MWM is in there most of the time!!! and in truth there are only a handful of regular chatters so making that first move by a PG doesn't seem such a bad thing to me. I think of it as winking or smiling at someone in a bar.
But overall I think we both now feel that the best way of all to make contact is through the socials and other organised meets as you have to bring your faces and you can cover so much more ground.
I guess like most things in life we are all going to use SP in different ways and no one is ever going to please all the people all the time, so I'm content knowing that we can please some of the people some of the time.....but, as ever, we are both open to suggestions as to the BEST way to start contact.
