As with anything like this, what you put in is what you get out and there are many very good people here....So hang in there and you will find what you are after!!

1. Favourite food in all the world is Shepherds Pie and baked beans!!!

7. Spent over 40 years wanting and wishing I could dance knowing I never could. Met Jan and we both learned together. Ceroc is great - a fusion of jive and salsa and translates to almost all music. (will PM Oli later!!)
8. Love card magic and close up magic.
9. Ran away from home at 15. Lived under a hedge for a month, managed to get a job and place to live for 3 months before they caught me in Cornwall.
10. Don't really like cities to live in, OK to visit. Granada is fabulous. Much prefer panoramic views of the country. Need to be able to see the horizon and sky..and mountains and sea.
11. First career (1973) was in computers well before PCs. My fist computer was a Honeywell 1250 running MOD1 MSR TR with 32K and required a whole room. Today you get 100 times more on a wrist watch!
12. My second career came from a sales role (1980s) that led to working for a London ad agency...that went bust in 1989. Been running my own ad agency since....1989!
13. SKY+ is the worlds best invention. I get to watch what I want to watch when I want to watch it. Fab!!
14. Suffered wanderlust since I was....probably 15. Seen quite a few places, loved them all, wanted to emigrate to them all too! But most of them wouldn't have me! So love to travel, hate coming back!
15. I'm the luckiest man in the world. Loved three women and three women loved me back and I have 4 fantastic kids to prove it and recently acquired 2 more fantastic girls!
16. But I'm seriously lucky to have met Jan but wish we had sooner. We are a perfect match in every way. Literally made for each other.
17. Did some modelling a few years back and may do more. Good fun, great money but hate the audition process. Also did quite a lot of extras work (The Bill, East Enders, Panorama, Dead Ringers, Ronnie Ancona etc) but only did one movie.
18. Love my XKR! Been a V8 fan since birth. Just love the warble. You should hear mine...very non-standard Jaguar!
19. Favourite film is still The Shawshank Redemption but I have 100s I love too. Love to go to the cinema!
20. Don't read as much as I used to but a big Robert Ludlum fan (well before his Bourne films came to fame). Read lots of film related biographies and quite a few poker books.
21. I love the internet. Couldn't live without it these days!
22. Got my one and only tattoo when I was 50 on the same day Jan got hers. Always wanted one, never had the courage. It's on the shoulder and is a tribal heart.
23. Capricorn. January 6th to be exact and I am told I am exactly what a Capricorn should be. Look it up, cos that's me.
24. Really miss my Aikido classes. Fantastic martial art - so graceful, so deadly. Buggered ankles - calcified tendons due to injuries 
25. Don't do stress, don't get phased by much except maybe by tight fisted people or rude people. And I guess I have a dry sense of humour with a tad too much sarcasm sometimes. Almost perfect then!

1. Met M about a year and a half ago and she is the most important thing in my life alongside my daughter (who is now 3 - see 4 below)
2. I'm a Virgo - think that means I'm supposed to be tidy and organized.... ;). Bit of a perfectionist too, but do all I can to suppress that
3. I'm 42 this year!!! Yikes Don't feel like it at all - is that good or bad?
4. Have been married twice and in the final stages of my second divorce - long stories (some funny too) so will hopefully tell you all about it at MK4
5. I love fast sports (not Watersports LOL ) - motorbikes, jet skis, kite-surfing and mountain biking
6. I love making new friend and since being on SP have been very impressed with the great people here, I salute you all!!!
7. I mess about with computers a lot. This could mean that I am a geek but I also know how to plumb and re-wire houses, build koi ponds, landscape gardens and tune motorbikes amongst other things.....
8. I value friends and family greatly
9. I'm very chilled and relaxed about most things - never used to be but am now......
10. I have broken a lot of bones - see 5 above (motorbikes)
11. I completely agree with Funkie's No. 24 above - "I believe u shud always treat others how u wish to b treated!"
12. I'm not into football.....
13. I love Marmite :)
14. I hate shopping! You can count the hours I spend in a shop in a year (particularly clothes shops) on one hand

16. I love to cook!!! Hence love dinner parties :)
17. If I could choose anywhere to live right now!! It would be right back on the coast in a little shack right on the sand close enough to have the waves lapping at the door
18. I have a BSc in Applied Physics, yeah it's dull but one day you might want to know all about the Quantum Theory
19. I love breasts! Long legs too!!! Thankfully M has both XXXXXXXXXX
20. I am genuinely very sorry to hear of the sad loses some folk in this thread have had... My heart goes out to you all!
21. I like a drink - when I say like, I mean appreciate :) Red wine is my fav! followed by large amounts of beers - not at the same time of course
22. Love parties.... I'll need to organise one down in Portsmouth once M is here (she's moving down this Summer) and I will invite you all!!!!!
23. Love any sort of music other than Jazz... It's so mood dependent, so one sec it could be classical, the other it'll be full on dance/trance/industrial

I know just what you mean. I had a similar thing a few weeks ago. It was like the flu in terms of the aching, headache, no appetite etc but I didn't get the sore throat and sniffing/sneezing etc...
I hope you got over it quickly as it didn't sound good at all from your description!

Hi to all from the South coast!
Have read through a few threads now and have learnt quite a bit along the way and hopefully won't repeat any of the common mistakes in getting started in this area of enjoyment...
Thanks also to the good folks in the room for the warm welcome each time!!
