To be honest I have never been personally on the site at that time but I will check the site crons to see what is happening.
The idea of this forum was to bring this swinging community together, from the recent posts and threads that I have seen, we could not be further away from this original idea.
This forum is called ‘Anything Goes' – this is just a name. Everyone must still act within the site AUP and we will still remove anything that we deem inappropriate.
We have seen members bring lots negativity about the site into this forum, we respect your thoughts, but this is not the right area for them. The only appropriate way to bring this to our attention is by contacting the admin account or emailing the info address. You may think that you are bringing valid points to the table but you are doing yourself no favours and it may also bring you close to breaking the AUP.
We have seen enough negativity in this forum for now, any more comments I will be personally deleting and sending out warnings.
This site has been designed for fun, perhaps some members are losing sight of this.

Admin - is there anything you can do to block our profiles appearing on google?
Jx
Every site on the internet which requires a member to fill out a profile will allow search engines to crawl the information. As you have noticed by entering your commonly used username into a search engine such as google, you find all of the sites that you are registered to.
I would advise that if you do not want certain pictures to be shown, that you should add these to your private gallery or obscure your face.
Just to update again, the chat room is now on a new server. Just so there is no confusion, this does not mean that there is a new chat room, just the server which hosts the application has been changed.
Well I think that it is safe to say that the software upgrade did naff all. We have one last card to play whilst I try to get the chat room moved onto another server.
This is really strange because absolutely nothing has changed.
We have made several thorough checks on everything and nothing is indicating a problem at all. We have the exact same chat room servers and settings that run on other sites we have and none of them are causing a problem which is making it difficult to fix.
We have just upgraded the software on the SP chat room server which we are monitoring. Lets hope this problem clears up once and for all.
To update this thread, unfortunately we did encounter some delays which has added time on the finish date for V2. Perhaps we were too optimistic with the initial deadline.
We hope that there is not many bugs found which will help speed things up ;)
With regards to the chat room server performance, we were aware of some problems the weekend before last but nothing reported since. What is the highest amount of users that you have seen recently? To be honest, the user level should be no where near peaking in respect to the server capacity.
In theory banning an IP would work. However, if the user is on a dynamic IP, you would not only be banning that user but other users later on who get assigned the same IP by the same ISP.
I must admit that the moderators are very active on ensuring that banned members do not return, I personally ensure that their details are blacklisted.
Unfortunately some members do not understand what the term 'banned' means but once the new SP V2 is active, we will have a much better management system.
Sounds dreadful - I remember that last one.
Here is a link to own free virus scanner:
You can find more information about viruses through that site.
This problem will happen if you are using a resolution lower than 1024 x 768. Your view is chopping the chat line off the bottom of your page.
You need to increase your resolution by doing the following:
- Please click the 'Start' button located bottom left of your screen.
- Select 'Control Panel' (sometimes this is under Settings > Control Panel).
- Double click on 'Display'
- Select the 'Settings' tab.
Here you can modify your screen resolution settings. Please increase your resolution to 1024 by 768 and apply the changes.
You will now be able to access the chat bar in the chat room and resume using the chat room.
I'll add this to the list and see what we can come up with. At the moment, you can temporarily modify your location details via the 'your profile' area to a Leeds postcode. You can then search from this area - just an idea.
The whole site is currently being redesigned by Nick so I will mention this to him :rainbow:
And these dreadful emotions must go!
are known culprits at the moment. As you quite rightly stated that as part of their fair usage policy, they have moved certain customers on the IP Stream service. This has been done to prevent file sharing but it will also cause problems with RTMP connections - such as our flash communication servers.
I have spoken to several members affected by this and some have successfully communicated with requesting to be moved back onto the Data Stream list. Most were initially fobbed off advised that it was a problem our end or a DNS issue but they got there in the end.
users who have been affected by this have reported problems connecting during the hours of 1600 - 2300.
You can contact through this link:
You may experience this problem also on other ISP's who use to provide their lines.
Yeah I think that is definitely a site bug. It is the same for videos also - take a look at the admin account:
Thanks for the invite, it is very kind of you.
To be honest, myself (Griff) I am not sure yet whether I can make it. I don't want to give any false hope and say that I can at this stage.
I'll get the rest of the guys in the office to chew it over and go from there.
We have a list of terms and/or characters that is used to automatically filter out contact information. I am assuming that the at symbol has been added to this list but it is in there for the best interests of the site.
Ok, there is naff all snow at the Swinger Personals Towers.
Whose made a snowman and where abouts are you?
The amount of votes normally varies quite a lot. However the member with the most votes is normally a clear winner. Normally the top 10 or so go into double figures with a large majority of accounts on one vote.
You can vote for as many members as you like, but you can only vote for each member once per account in any month.
The account with the highest amount of votes is contacted first and then applied as MOTM.
Blimey you lot are hard to please!
Percentages:
49% Couples
43% Single females
8% males
I can whip up a pie chart also if you like? ;)
This month we received 747 nominations - there were a few males but more single females who got votes, but the large majority was couples.
With the amount of couples registered compared to females, it seems that the probability favours couples.
Guess they don't want us single guys to find out that we are wasting our time & money on here. I've given up trying to meet anyone on here, unless you're part of the "clique" or a couple, you've got no chance.
May I add that this is your opinion of the site - I am certain that many other single males on this site can vouch that they have had very succesful meets with members on this site. However I am sure that there technique is slightly different than yours.
Firstly I understand that any member looking to meet someone who shows an interest immediately looks to your profile for images and interests that you may share. From your profile, this has no images nor any relevance to any interests or situations that you are looking for.
This swinging community is close but perhaps might be hindered with male accounts who think that they can register an account and instantly 'get lucky'. My opinion is that females or couples insist on getting to know a fellow member before contemplating any meets. A key feature on the site to get to know someone is via the chat room and also the forum. I am unaware of your chat room activity but from your forum posts, these seem very negative, a quality that will put others off.
I feel that sudsy has hit the nail on the head:

The next problem is that, sadly, there ARE a lot of single males out there who are not interested in making friends first, are not willing to engage in friendly chat in the chatroom, and basically just see this site as an easy way to try to get a free shag. THIS is what turns couples and single fems off, and who can blame them?
Personally, I found that it took a while and a bit of perseverence in the chatroom before I started to get regular meets, but it did work (although it took about 6 months). The chatroom is the BEST place to get to know people, I find. Profiles can only tell you so much - chatting to someone on a regular basis (and on cam too if possible) tells you far more about them and also lets them find out far more about you.

This advice is spot on

I feel that it is also important to add that abuse towards a moderator is also strictly prohibited.
The moderators work on this site using their own spare time with the only intentions to improve the way that the site is ran in a professional manner. Being offensive towards a moderator is in my opinion inexcusable and will face severe consequences.
This is an adult site, we expect that every member should act in an adult fashion.

One of the problems with a site such as this one is that there is no way to officially verify whether the images that are being uploaded by an account are actually of the member or whether they have been obtained from google or somewhere similar. Consequently the only official way that we possibly authenticate that the image does belong to the account holder is to have the following statement upon the photo upload page:
“BY CLICKING "UPLOAD" YOU DECLARE THAT THE FILE
YOU ARE UPLOADING IS A PICTURE OF YOURSELF!
Violators will be banned from the site.”
This action confirms that the account holder obtains responsibility for the photo and confirms to Swinger Personals that they are the owner.
Any member that is found to be in breach of the claim is removed from the site as per the subsequent sentence.
In addition this ruling is also confirmed in the site AUP (Acceptable Use Policy) headed under non acceptable behaviour with the following statement:
“The posting of photos on any part of the Swinger Personals site that you do not own, or posting photos that are fake, a joke or don't actually contain any part of you in them, or worse, that include a third party without prior consent.”
This provides further ammunition to prevent this rule being breached and also to enforce the appropriate action on accounts which fail to adhere to this.
The matter regarding accounts which you feel could potentially be held by an individual whose intentions are to deceive others is naturally activity that which we prohibit.
We personally ask all members if they feel that any accounts are active upon the site, please feel free to report the accounts following the abuse report channels which can be located on every profile. This is the only way to inform us – keeping this information and not reporting the matter will not help the swinging community and create further frustration.
Lets keep it friendly ;)
