My boyfriend & I have been members here for a while and have had loads of messages, but we are just too picky. We want too experience new things but just cant seem too take that first step, we know this is what we want, both shy I think thats our problem. We had a meet arranged a while back but the guy had to back out & we havent really tried since then, we're just wimps!

Guys - I'm not quite sure what you want us to say, other than to offer encouragement and urge you to stick with it.
There's nothing wrong with being picky - you need to meet people who you are comfortable with. Only you can decide if you're being TOO picky! 
Try spending more time in the chatroom if you're finding it difficult to meet suitable people - that's generally the best place to get to know people and to get a feel for whether or not you have any rapport with them.

Another way of .."taking the first step" .., would be a general meet ..where you could relax , with No pressure ....& you may find ,that talking to like minded people ../ either newbies or ...mmmmmmmm .."oldies" (ok dont shout at me you pro's .hehe!) ..might help you to .."suss" things ..

Its a shame to hear that someone bottled the meet, but i would imagine there are a few memebers on here, how just get a kick of doing that. Like the others have said, stay positive and dont give up,

Hey, my first meet stood me up too, after I had paid for a hotel room & travelled over 100 miles. They never even had the decency to tell me they couldn't make it. But hell, I had a good night out in Kettering anyway and wasn't by myself for too long!!! lol But I am glad I stuck with it (with encouragement from friends). I have met loads of lovely peeps since. So yes, stick with & hopefully you can have loads of fun too xxxxxx :doggy:

I would suggest you take a look at the forums "lets me up"... and see if you could get a long to one of the social meets that are coming up... these meets are a grt way to meet other swingers.. with out feeling you have to take it further with anyone... you will find no one know's anyone yet everyone treats each other like long lost friends... you will be able to have a drink chill and just be your selves... and who knows u may end up meeting someone to have more than just drinks with or u may just have a grt night with lots of new friends... either way i can asure u you will have a grt fun and a laugh....

Hi Guys....Don't worry. You are young by comparison to the rest on here so it will be harder for you. We are a very picky couple as well... Some real mingers on here, especialy when you get to our age.
