Just can't get going!

Am new to the whole scene and just don't seem to be able to get started. I have tried the chatroom several times and it all just seems to be a blur of random messages flying about between people who know each other! How do you start a proper conversation in there?

You just join in. If it all seems too fast for you, try going in the chatroom at a quieter time, such as during the day. If you have something interesting to say people will chat to you.

Hi. Please be aware that all have started at the point you are at...Knowing no-one!..However with time and patience you will discover that the people in chat operate same as in real life, they like to be listened to and responded to...There are normally several threads of communication running which you will see people act upon...If you have a view on any please join in, or endeavour to engage people by starting another thread...Best of luck, but its worth some effort!!...xxx
