So we did some research, we emailed a few people, we negotiated, argued and cajoled and we have the following details to put before you:-
We found an organiser of a regular “Erotic Masquerade Masked Ball†that operates from SW London. If you Google “[color="red"]eroticmasquerades[/color]†or “[color="red"]Erotic Masquerades Themed Parties for Glamourous People[/color]†you will find all their details and imagery. This is who and where our May Ball will be – if there are sufficient numbers.
[color="yellow"][size="18"]What will you get for your hard earned cash?[/size][/color]
The event and its Ritual were inspired by the movie “Eyes Wide Shut†starring Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman. There are unique elements in each event including nudity and is highly erotic. They involve both club members and professional performers and usually have other performances during the evening.
The venue is a swinger club and includes a licensed bar (pub prices not night club prices), several rooms for private or 'public' use, a very well equipped dungeon style room and a cinema room. We are also advised that their new extension/building they are adding a lot of extra features including luxurious showers, toilets, cloaks and changing facilities.
The night will consist of a free welcome drink, free canapés, entertainment and the fully themed venue with lots extra touches a professional DJ and dancing, lots of attractive people and a gift at the end of the evening
We are told that the profile of people attending these Erotic Masquerades is very attractive and the majority would between 25 and 45. Everyone makes a huge effort to dress up for this night and they do not allow jeans or any other casual wear for men or women and everyone must wear a mask until after The Ritual. They do sell masks at the venue for those who can't get them in advance.
[color="yellow"][size="18"]Costs:-[/size][/color]
[color="yellow"]Entrance tickets: [/color]These are extravagant affairs with extremely high production costs therefore they will not discount the entrance fee. Advance tickets £50 for a couple and £15 for a single girl and bought at the door on the night £55 for a couple and £20 for a girl.
[color="yellow"]Membership: [/color]The venue organisers require a list of people with names and addresses in advance. Everyone would also need to bring ID x 2 and both parties must sign the membership form on the night. This is a legal requirement from their local council and Metropolitan Police.
Lifetime Membership is normally £50 for a couple and £25 for a single woman but if you are not that local or don't think you will visit the venue again we have agreed a One Night Membership at £10 for a couple and £5 for a single lady.
Don't forget to factor in the cost of buying or hiring a suitable costume and mask, hotel accommodation and drinks. It wont be a cheap night for sure – but we think VERY MEMORABLE!
[color="yellow"][size="18"]Dates:-[/size][/color]
We have the option of joining their normal schedule of events (Saturday May 8th 2010) or we can elect to have an SP membership only event two weeks later (Saturday May 22nd 2010) .
[color="yellow"]There are further considerations also :-[/color]
Saturday May 8th 2010 would have to be couples and single females only (see their rules) but the SP only date would allow us to take in single males.
Saturday May 8th 2010 – no minimum attendance as venue is shared.
Saturday May 22nd 2010 – minimum attendance 200 SP members (head count)!
Confirmed numbers required in advance – see above.
Everyone must be a Member – we have negotiated a one-off deal.
Everyone must dress according to their rules – no exceptions.
Everyone must wear a mask – Doh!
Everyone must bring two forms of ID – Drivers Licence/Passport/Utility Bill.
[color="yellow"][size="18"]Summary:-[/size][/color]
[b]Phase One [/b]is to get an idea of the numbers of people interested. If we want an SP only event we need a minimum of 200 heads. So for simplicity do the POLL at the top of the page and add a comment below.
[b]Phase Two[/b] will be to confirm a date to SP members and the event organisers. This will result in a NEW thread confirming finalised details. At this stage we would expect those genuinely interested (attendance more than a “maybeâ€) to register interest in the new thread AND send us a private message with your personal email address so we can keep track and advise you of specific details.
Phase Three will be having an amazingly erotic night!!!

Its early days but the few that have voted are for the 22nd. We are very doubtful that 200 peeps from SP would be up for this, but you never know.
So realistically the shared event on the 8th May is more likely.
If the 8th is your 40th Birthday Do how about having it on the same night as a joint event and we can share organising it. Its entirely up to you chuck....we are more than happy either way

Further to a related post in another forum we have copied part of our post from that to here, just so interested members are aware:-

We're back from the USA and we've had an email from the Masquerade Ball people.
The latest date we can advise them of our numbers is 4 weeks prior to the ball. [b]Therefore all interested parties need to advise us by no later than April 8th[/b].
