Well this has come to my mind for a long time now especially after my first ever outing on SP was in Blackpool in feb 2007!
So why don't we all that is who is interested in going get a social/night out in Blackpool for the saturday on oct 25thlol
Was thinking of my local the excelsior on lytham rd which has an active night scene and just stay there really unless anybody wants to go into town later on to a nightclub!
This would also be a good idea for locals on SP

Well as The Excelsior is just around the corner from Blackpool Football Club I forgot to look at the fixture list and see they are playing Crystal Palace that saturday!Now the last thing that I want to do is have a get together in a pub full of football fans(thats unless they have all gone home)and unfortunately my night out is cancelled tonight so cannot ask the landlord for advice so would anybody object to bringing it forward a week to the 18th or a week later on the 1st november!
The other reason is there is a new hotel just opened opposite the road from Blackpool Football Club which although Ive not been in to get details would be a handy place to stay with no taxis needed as that has been a problem with the majority of the socials ive been to in the past!

Definatly cant make any of the revised dates are still negotiating a baby sitter for the original let us know when you have set a final date please.

i will prob only be about during the day, as i may have a little one on tow, so be able to meet up with folks for a coffee or something during the day. Just let me know of dates George and if they suit can make arrangements.
May even con my mum and dad to come down too and they could babysit at night for me, now that sounds a better idea. Kepp me posted.

Well every hotel is solidly booked up till after nov 5th due to the illuminations so I suggest the social should be put back until after the revised dates!
Blackpool FC are at home to ipswich nov 8th and also at home to preston on nov 15th!
SO THE MEET WILL TAKE PLACE ON NOV 22ND!
Have phoned up the travelodge on seasiders way oposite BFC and they say they have 9 rooms available and a further 9 available that weekend as its still under development at a price of £60 per night!This hotel is just round the corner from the chosen venue and been advised they are being taken!
Have also checked the premier inn,yeadon way too and they have just 5!
So whatever happens it will take place on NOV 22nd.

Dont beat yourself up over this it wasnt a good time,lots of meets going on at the decline the taking over of the meet,but will definatly organise Blackpool 2 for early next will be added to the list George,gotta add another Blackpool to your list (especially as you live here) lol.
