[color="blue"]It is great to see admin looking to improve service for members. It is clear that those who have taken time to comment that the fee for the Extras package is not popular and is not seen as value for money. Let's hear what members want from SP so that the best ideas may be adopted and may not need to be charged for. Members of any organisation become cynical when asked to pay for extras that they bellieve should be provided in member fees.
OUr ideas for improvement:
the ability to send a kiss as on dating sites
the ability to be able to write notes in our favourite list on cpls we have chatted with, including names, contact details, etc.
These 2 things would add significantly to the user-friendliness of the site and serve the needs of members.

Although perhaps not so clever - you could use note or wordpad - create a file named (the fav's name) and you are off. Just use file open to retrieve.
As for storing on the be major security issue or.....would not go for that one myself.
and an improvement to the keyboard routine where words are missed
ie on the system could be -- not included in previous post - get that problem with chat too!
Mechanism to clear messages in pending whispers when target party leaves room for whatever reason instead of it being broadcast to all and sundry.
A better chat room with more spend most of the time in there,so why not.
Not bothered about notes,you could always put that in your email saved folders.I tend to write it in my address book,so its there for future use.
these were features that we had on our ozzie site and worked well. Easier than opening another program to record notes.

improved chat room with ability to block individuals from whispering to you
improved member search......STILL does not bring ppl up in a list with reference to when they were last on like it used to.....ie:....someone who was on yesterday comes up after someone who hasnt been on for 2 weeks or more.....you have to open every profile to check

great idea F3. That IM thing does work well on sites that have it.
Not tryinig to make this like Oz Debs but aim is to get some constructive feedback happening for admin to consider. No point in just replicating other sites, but to take good ideas from sites other ppl have seen to make this site even better.

I wish the list of names in the chatroom could be alphabeticalised. If I'm whispering to a few different people at once (as I always seem to end up doing)I often loose people in the list and they think I'm ignoring them!
Anything that could be done to make our details and pictures as secure as possible would be welcome too.x

I think I mentioned this before, somewhere in the dim and distant past, but is there any way the search function could be amended so you can filter according to how long the time since last login? Every time I run a search 80-90% of the results seem to be people who haven't been on the site in ages.

Tiny, quirky little things, but they used to be there ...
1) The ability to find someone's geographical location by clicking on the postcode in their profile
2) Not having to type in my username and password every time I access the site (that DID work until a couple of weeks ago - seems to have gone AWOL again)
3) Having a more versatile Member Search that didn't require a 100% accurate name to be entered - that way you could look up people you only half-remembered the name of.
4) Being emailed when you received a new message in your inbox (that doesn't seem to work any more either)
Over and above that, I agree that the chatroom could be improved a little - more simultaneous cams would be nice.
Forum posts - when you choose an emoticon in the middle of a message, why can't it be inserted at the point you are typing instead of back at the very start of the message???

btw suds- although the name and password thing is irritating, if you click on home and then log in it does bring up your name a password - clunky but helpful if you are like me :laughabove:
