The latest stats on the site indicate 143,050 registered users with 334 new members today. How many of these accounts are sitting dormant? Isn't it about time to start sorting the wheat from the chaff and remove some of the free user accounts that haven't been accessed for a given length of time? Maybe 3 months would be a good benchmark to start with? Also the free membership option I feel should be limited to maybe 4 weeks, followed by an email offering full membership before the account is closed. it may encourage a few more people to part with their cash and limit the number of non-users who remain listed on the site. I understand you guys are running a business and member stats are an important marketing tool but there must be literally tens of thousands of members who have had a look around and never ever came back to use their account. Thoughts people ????? If you can't do this maybe you could add into the member search results the last date the member was active on site and sort them chronologically ?
what does chronological mean? is it summin to do with the weather or smoking too much?
Oh Ian, Ian, Ian! Chrono as in chronos, latin for time, an logically meaning ordered. Oh noooooo! Quick, someone come and shag me intensely, I'm becoming ordnary! Chronos is Greek, he is also linked to Prometheus, chained to the rock, Greek creation story. Saturn was the god of time and other areas in Roman life.
Oh my god! What have I done? Aroused the pedanticism in you all! Let me find that rope
Oh my god! What have I done? Aroused the pedanticism in you all! Let me find that rope
Always better than no reaction at all dave!!!!!! Pedant is a Roman word you know.................................the Greek equivalent would be................. That expensive education had to be of some use one day!
Pedant: Middle French, from Italian pedante 1 obsolete : a male schoolteacher 2 a : one who makes a show of knowledge b : one who is unimaginative or who unduly emphasizes minutiae in the presentation or use of knowledge c : a formalist or precisionist in teaching Thank the god of knowledge - GOOGLE!
Thank the god of knowledge - GOOGLE!
"Googol" is the mathematical term for a 1 followed by 100 zeros. Google's play on the term reflects the company's mission to organize the immense amount of information available on the web to people like us in the forum...pmsl
chronos v saturn. why do we have saturdays and not chronosdays? I reckon chronos sounds more swingingly sexy. cara smile
Chronos (Kronos) was the Greek god of time who fled to Italy and eventually Rome after his Titan army was defeated by the Olympians (Zeus and all them) When he arrived in Italy his name was changed to Saturn, he became God of argriculture and harvests. He was married to some goddess or other, also to do with harvests, I dunno if they ever did a full swap thing.................might have done! They had a son called Jupiter, so I don't think they were able to accomodate, but travel didn't seem a problem.
Isn't mythology a wonderful subject! Mind you with all these deelightful pics it hard to concentrate. OK time for some more edjikashun, can anyone spell antidisestablishmentairialism?
Blimey....anyone got the time? Anyway back on topic... Topic n. A confectionary made of chocolate with peanuts in, popular in the 1970s; ...ummm yes, well some people do go away and allow their membership to revert to 'free' but return to premium membership at a later date, so culling the 'dormant' profiles wouldn't be a good idea. When you search profiles they are listed in order of most recently logged into first, so if you don't want to look at dormant profiles don't look at the ones further down the search list!
Blimey....anyone got the time? 1228pm

Talking of fields, brings a whole new perspective to Le Champs Elysees (elysian fields I think - if wrong, Mrs Cop will no doubt correct me. Assume the position Cara :moon: :moon: :moon: :P
