3 years ago i was a size 18 due to a little social pressure and stern advice from my doctor (i was told i was at risk for diabetes) i went vegetarian and went for brisk walks and got a twist board and small dumbbells. im now a 10-12 in river island i have to buy size 12 skinny jeans as their sizes are a bit smallet than most other clothes shops. i see on here and other sites that a lot of men even young ones love BBWs i now wonder if i looked better before my weight loss i was a 42DD before now im a 36D with a 29 waist and 34 hips my hubby still fancied me as a size 18 but he says he's glad i lost it because he was concerned i might get obesity related health conditions. has any lady on here regretted losing weight? or do any men prefer their wives to remain big or shift the stones? i lost 4 stone i did it gradually losing 2 pounds per week as advised i didnt go to any slimming classes i just refered to a sensible book given to me by my practice nurse, i also hate gyms but i love best thing for avoiding loose skin on arms is using dumbbells as you watch telly was told to avoid loose skin by doing it slowly and getting plenty of vitamin c as it helps your skin to retain its elasticity during weight loss.
Different strokes for different folks i guess. I personally prefer a healthy size 10/12, but would definitely prefer slightly heavier than too skinny, as that looks far less healthy imho. As for whether or not you look better... I suppose you'd need to get the before and after pics up hehe! Congratulations on the successful weight loss though; much better for you in the long run i think. ;-)
Firstly michele, well done, that cant have been easy... Secondly, when were you happiest? Yes I know its important that your partner fancies you...but its much more important that you are happy. So answer that question first then deal with the rest afterwards.... We are here for a good time not a long time, being happy is paramount smile
Hi Michelle I did the same about 10 years ago, went from a size 18 to a size 12 and obviously the body all lost weight accordingly. Over the years though I have gone back to a size 16 and have gone from a DD chest to a G chest. I am happy with myself at the moment, and with continued stress and pressure from my family to loose weight, I just tell myself it is my happiness what is important. I certainly agree with what Blondes have said. There is a fantastic mixture of people here babe, and there is someone for everyone. The world would certainly be a boring place if we all went for the same thing smile Stay happy and everything else will fall into place. Keep in touch L x aka The Minx
