In the two-and-a-bit years of being a member here, I still come across couples with excellent profiles, but yet still can't get one thing right. Some still state "Straight Single Male" in the 'looking for' section on their profile, then state in the main text that they want to meet couples and/or females only, with the obligatory "NO SINGLE MALES" legend added.
In a couple of cases, I have sent a message to a couple who state that they are looking for a straight single male (after all, unlike some males, I do/can read profiles!). There have been one or two who have been very kind to respond, and promptly with it too, to say 'thanks but we don't meet single males'. I admire and appreciate the efforts of anyone who takes the trouble to respond to my mails, even if just to say no-thank-you, but there's just one thing - is it too much to ask to take a bit more care when putting your profile together?
What I'm trying to say is, if you don't want to meet single males, or other specific gender mixes, then DON'T INCLUDE IT IN THE "LOOKING FOR" PART OF YOUR PROFILE. Quite obvious, isn't it? It wastes my time mailing you and, for those who are considerate enough to respond, it's also a waste of your time. Even if you're not the responding type, it's still a waste of your time having to plough through messages from people you didn't really want to meet in the first place.
Please don't waste your time or mine - GET IT RIGHT!
