I read in a paper today that a Study found that certain names were the Top Swingers,aged in there 20s. Couples commonly white middle-class university grads with careers in Advertising,PR or the Media. Top Swingers Guys names:- Paul, Andrew, David, Mark, Stephen, Anthony, Christopher, Michael, Matthew, Richard. Top Swingers Ladies names:- Catherine, Clare, Sarah, Emma, Lucy, Anna, Karen, Joanna, Louise, Michelle. They indulge in this Hobby twice month & travel up to 3 hours to London. Wonder how many of you would agree with these facts?

It depends how how the statement "Top Swingers" is defined deb. Top.... as in attractiveness or activity within the scene? Now I would assume they mean in terms of attractiveness and status within the social sectors and not activity within the scene itself. Swinging covers such a broad and wide spectrum of people and activities NOT how attractive you are! All of us have our preferences. I personally would prefer not to shag someone who is up their own backside with a body I'd be scared to touch for fear of marking it. Get my drift!!! lol As for age and names, totally insignificant. So nope, don't agree with that statement at all. biggrin

It's most commonly isn't it... Most swingers are in their 20s?!?! I'm sure the profile of the members on this site actually puts them mostly 30-35 and above... And as regards class and career - there's nothing on this site to suggest that most swingers are in pr and advertising.. much broader spectrum of people on this site for sure. Most common male names seem to be James and Matt on here...but that's single males...who might be lying and do they really come under the true definition of a swinger anyway?! Girl's names run the breadth of the alphabet! Would love to know where they did this survey to come up with the statistics! *twoddle* comes to mind biggrin

I find this quite funny. I definitely don't fit in any of that criteria! I have always thought that these kinds of studies should be taken tongue in cheek. Statistics are only as correct as per how many people they have studied. I mean to get any kind of accuracy in statistics you would have to survey every single person within a particular group or criteria. For all we know they could have only studied 100 or 1000 swingers which we all know is hardly a correct representation. Just going by the number of people I know on this site I would agree with Midgie in the fact that they cover every kind of spectrum imaginable - age/job/education/race and countless others - which actually makes it so great and diverse. So yeah, like I said, take it tongue in cheek Funny read though Debs xx

And if you do happen to choose the names from above, in 20+ years time we have a new set of swingers. The mind boggles Funny though rotflmao
