Results Day

I have been going to the Charing Cross Hospital,in order to have Gender Reassignment in the last year,& today was the day I got my test results. I am not happy,they say due to my Family History,they are not putting me forward for the operation in 2 years have removed me from the list & sending a letter to my GP,stopping my Female Hormone Medications. I have discussed my situation with a fellow post op TS,& she said to me that I should go the Private Route,but this will cost me over £30K. Hope the Lotto coughs up soon. Seems It will be sometime before I can afford this,so for now I am just plain old me. I`m not a Happy Bunny at the moment so if I bite your head off in chat, I apologise now, Fooking Doctors/Psychiatrists,playing with peeps minds.

Oh Debs hun. That aint good news at all. Big hugs to you though. Bloody doctors sometimes eh but like my mum always said, where there's a will there's a way and if you want something badly enough you will always find a way to get it. So either keep buying those lottery tickets or go suck up to the bank manager for a loan lol. I wish you loads and loads of luck. And the same little ol' you is fine with me anyway! xxxx

Debs this must have come as a massive blow for you. I really do feel for you and hope that you can come to terms with the news in time or maybe find another way. For now though we love you just the way you are... the world would be a far nicer place if there were more people like you around for sure passionkiss

debbie Can you ask them for a 2nd opinion? can you appeal against their decision? If so go for it, you have nothing to loose. Can you get a case out in your favour about your family history?

Sarah Mal, I have been chatting to several T Girls I know,and they say thats if highly unlikely I will ever get the OP on the NHS. As I said to others I might have to go the Private route but its Expensive,so I`ll have to see about it in the future.
