non cam chat rooms?

I would love to have a non-cam chat room. I am completely new to all this and as yet not confident and still very shy. I would love to chat real time to people but am limited partly due to my own shyness and partly due to there being other people in the house who know nothing about my new direction in life! lol Am I the only one who is put off by cams?

Hi, I totally understand your comments, however the cams in our chat rooms are there solely for those people who choose to use them, they are in no way compulsory at all, you choose whether you wish to view someone on cam and also if you wish to appear on cam too. Many people only use the cam facility to ensure the people with whom they are contemplating meeting up with are indeed who they claim to be. If you need any more help then admin and room moderators, indicated by a blue star, are ther to help and advise. Enjoy your new diorection :-)

I didn't know you could choose to have a cam on or not (I really must get to grips with all this technology stuff hehehe). I will look into it and hopefully be on chat soon biggrin

Hi Ever_Hopeful, Firstly welcome to the site. If you want to try the chat room out, go for it. As Kay-de has said cams are optional. We are often in chat in the evenings and we do have our cam on to show that we really are a couple. We rarely show our faces on cam but that is because we don't wan't to scare people off lol

If you do wan't to dip your toe in "chat" we will do our best to make you feel welcome. A note of caution.... The banter with the regulars can sometimes get confusing, but that's only because people have gotten used to the varied characters in chat. Your not even expected to type if you would rather take your time to get used to the banter from people. We hope to see you in chat soon Ever_Hopeful. Enjoy the site and good luck xx

I know some of the guys ask, beg and grovel to ladies to put their cam on. The best way to stop it is to say so in the main room, evil I know but they deserve it. As so many have said you do not have to put cams on......or look at them. Travis
