I was in early Friday morning,thought i`d go to the chat room,there were 8 peeps in,so why does it say in this particular box that theres 44 users chatting we got i cant see them,and no i didnt have my eyes closed too much pain for that(hip). :devil:

the 'users chatting now' stat has never matched up to the video chat room in my experience. Not that i mind really cos most of the people in there never talk anyway biggrin

There could be 100 of us like last night and most are just sitting there watching. I would like to know what the point of that is really. I didn't think that swingers were wallflowers or shy as a rule so what is holding you all back? Surely you are not all :wank:!!! Rosie x

Rosie x[/quote] Actually i found it very intimidating when i first joined and i am definatly no stranger to chat rooms.....even now i dont like it when there is lots of people in there.......so imagine how it must be for a complete newbie....took me ages just to get up the nerve to say hi.....its especially hard when it seems that everyone is chatting away and all seem to know each other....but in general we are a frindly bunch and i was grateful when people started to say hi and remember me.....put me at ease

I have just re-read my comments of the other day about people sitting on the sidelines in the chat room and i can see that they might have seemed a little aggressive. I did not intend to suggest that newbies should have to throw themselves in at the deep end immediately and i can appreciate beowulf's point because i too had to take a deep breath before going for it. However my intent was to question why, after hanging around in there for days, weeks or even months on end, some people who are far from new never talk. i understand that the room can seem a little intimidating on occasion but unless you dip your toe in the water (to continue my metaphor smile

) you will never see if it is really the place for you. remember none of us knew anyone when we started going in there! Rosie x
