This arguement is based on the fact that someone would pull your unique ID out of the air and want to type this into google. You are able to mimic this because you know your own ID and consequently find your own profile. I'll take the closest example - If you type 1998 into google, you'll find thousands upon thousands of sites that mention the year 1998 - the account on this site wouldn't be listed in the results because it isn't how google works. You would need to enter the exact unique ID which is 1998_7610. We accept unique usernames/aliases on the site to aid your privacy. If you have selected a name that someone in the real world knows and you think that they would type this into google for an unknown reason, please PM an admin to have your name changed. We allow aliases, non specific locations and private galleries for those users who are concerned about their privacy. There is absolutely no way that we would want to exploit this. This post has been made to prevent an unnecessary scare and give you some information on how google works. I hope that I don't see people pulling this post apart and interpreting something totally different than what it was intended for.
OK admin just to make u aware, i have taking my facial shots off and onto private, so why is my pics still on previous posts i have made. Surly they should be blank, since i am not allowing them to be public.
Hi 1998, have you got a forum pic selected in the "my profile" section in the user menu ? you can select a picture to use in forums or de-select them, hope this helps xx
Note to admin: As many people were concerned about this, myself included, is it possible to post a warning on the initial sign in for new people and on posting of pics. Words to the effect that anything said or posted in public could be googled may help those of us who, whilst not ashamed of our sexuality, have good reason to restrict information about it to those on site only and not the whole world. :rose:

oh, and can someone explain to me what a 'proffessional' job is? is that the opposite of an un-professional one...?:haha:
I said PROFESSION pacha there's no comparison between what people perceive as a professional job or not is there. I think the point that people are trying to make is that should pictures and profile be seen by work colleagues or friends and family it could become highly embarrassing for them. Mr C
what made u think i was quoting you? i was making the point about people who dont put pics up because they have a 'professional' job...it means nothing, they are just trying to attach importance to themselves. and its normally the overweight not so good looking ones who use this excuse to get away from putting pics on their profile... anyway, i dont care about what people think, anyway, i dont worry about what people think, if they dont like it then tough. its probably because they arent swinging....
rant time btw: :fuckinghell:Pacha some of us are fat and are not ashamed of it! I for one have face on cam and body pics on profile (moved face pic from public when i became aware of the situation). If someone is not interested then so be it but your post was plain rude and offensive!!:fury: I moved my face pic to private as i have to protect my career. I am not afraid of someone not wanting to contact in case they are put off, as you seem to suggest, of members who are less than stunning!! I am a teacher and as such could be sacked for what would be seen as prodessional misconduct and because i would be seen as a 'threat' to the kids. I am not trying to place more importance upon myself or others who have professions that are sensitive to such criticism. I am just aware that not everyone would be able view the sexual practise of swinging as natural and have no interest of ending up barred by the GTC! Get real! Not everyone is enlightened. BTW i have avoided putting anything in this thread for weeks now while i calmed down about Pacha's statements. Still not calm so decided that i could not leave it to others to do all the comments- lovely though the replies to him were :grin:worship :rose:
