Lovely thread and it could prove to be quite a giggle guessing what people do before they post :giggle:
Im an Office Manager and on the whole I like the role but it wears a bit thin on days I have to be diplomatic when I really dont feel like it ........Mark is a Carpenter n Joiner and he loves his job in the summer especially when he can beat me to the pub on a sunny afternoon :beer:
What do you like doing and is there an occupation that you can take up similar to your likes as that might be worth considering :happy:
oh debs i like this one, well i am a support worker for adults with learnig disabilities, i love it everyday is different, i think its great that i support them living in there own homes and being independant living ib the community with ordinary people. its great job satifaction i always leave with a smile on my face, i would not want another job or different job if it paid me more, the money is not a issue. i do the job for the love of it and what i can do to support them through there lifes
Nice 1 debs, I am a domiciliary nurse, love it i have the same views as blue, great job satisfaction. seeing individuals all comfi, and mr 1998 is an aircraft contractor. Also as most of u know we have a band together, is more of a hobby. I jst love singing.

up untill today i was in telesales, but hated being in an office all day, as from next week i will be driving all day delivering to garages all over the country,cant wait to be free on the road again.
Mr Mo, works for a TV news company making sure u all get your up todate news.
my ideal job would be an interior designer so anyone who wants a house make over give me a shout lol.

Mrs MWM here. I have my own business in soft furnishings....I measure, make, and fit curtains, blinds rails, poles etc and my curtains are all hand finished. I enjoy it most days when i get to see some gorgeous houses and their interiors. My job has variety every day, which is important to me. I get great satisfaction from creating something from nothing and having a satisfied customer. There are downsides too, but there is in all jobs. I initially trained as a textile designer at art school, but soon found out early on that there wasnt much of a living to be made, and thankfully I still work in fabrics.
Mr MWM is doing a bit of property developing in Spain, buying run down houses and turning them into livable ones.
Its difficult changing jobs, but good luck in whatever you do.:thumbup:

Well we run our own business, we are property developers. Which has its advantages but also its disadvantages.
Rennovating something that is a shell or building from scratch and turning it into something lovely is really satisfying.....and watching people move into a lovely home that we have acheived for them, puts a smile on our faces.
However, the hard hats, dust and muck, plays havoc with the complexion and hair lol.
Its long hours but very rewarding, I leave all the dirty stuff to Mr Cams and I enjoy the interior designing side and the finishing touches........what a typical woman I am lol

on the dole funkyD xx:P hi debs mr tazy here. i use to b a firefighter but had a career change. i now drive heavy plant machinery ie .loading shovels 100 tonne dumpers etc . got into it by accident but love my new career and makin 3 times the money when i was in the fire and b honest do feel a bit gutted when i hear blues and twos but i know ive made the right decision in my is a supervisor 4 one of the large banks and thinks her job is funny joining a site like this is a real eye opener as it brings people together from all different jobs and careers in life. all the best tazy and blondie

hi debs we mess around with cows an sheep, oh and we have a firm that sells tractors and farm machinery, and we buy and sell farms, and im a cabinet maker by trade so make of that what you will oh and tee does the vat lol
I am a self employed beauty and holistic therapist although mostly it's the holistic side that I concentrate on... aromatherapy and swedish massage..reflexology... indian head massage...oh and i'm a reiki master and teach others...mr s is a biologist for an environmental company and retired hooligan lol
