Hi Kayde's Could you tell us is it possible for our kids to track what we are doing on our desktop pc while they are on thier laptops. we are all using a wireless router the desktop is the only one that is hardwired our oldest has a laptop in her room its just somthing that has had us wondering for a while. our router is secure and the laptops are connected to the service. I would answer your question your Harddrive but i havent a clue and would only be making it up, But i did always wonder this with me laptop, my router was secured (so bloody secure i cant get in now). and wondered if the neighbours could hack in. Ha ha ha found it kind of kinky, but then why hack my comp to see my tits i shouw them at the window all the time. Love my neighbours i do. xxxx

HI Harddrives, If the router is configured so that you have a network in your house, i.e you can all exchange files with each other then they maybe able to see any pics etc you have stored on your desktop pc, if you do not have the network set up then they can't see anything that you are doing or any sites you are surfing. Do they go onto your PC though....lol Be nice to see you again :-)

HI CC have you done a factory reset on your router, that way it would set your password back to default, what s your router and i'll see what i can find out for you :-)

Underneath your router there will be a label, showing the model, maybe a 'wireless g', also on the label it might tell you a username and password, which, unless you changed them on initial setup, should allow you to get into your router, it should also give you a series of numbers, something like 0.1, if you type those numbers from the bottom of your router EXACTLY into the address bar of the Internet Explorer then that will take you to the config page. its a wireless g router. The only bit that really confuses me is which wires go where as they are both plugged in and i cant work it all out. If i get my head down the back of the comp the baby cries xxxx

Thank you for the reply mr k d you have put our minds at rest the kids do have access to comp but only as guests. we dont have file sharing network setup so our pics are on the our laptop of which the kids have no access once again many thanks xxxxx.

my router is still fecked, smile

My neighbour came up and was twiddling with it for over an hour.(the router and bits that is). Its all connected to everything ok, its showing connected to the laptop, but there is no internet connection going through it...........grrrrrrrrrrr, the wee red light wont go off. i give up. xxxx
