Hi, new to this so need some advice please

Hi My partner and I joined this site a few weeks ago and am wondering how it works. Is it ok to send private messages to people that interest us or is that a no no until you are friends? If so, how do you become 'friends', is it a case of just clicking the friend icon? Also lots of people we search for in our area are showing they haven't been online in over 3 months, are these real profiles? Are we just unlucky we haven't had any replies yet, haha :-) Any advice gratefully received Thanks, YL x

im a newbie onlybeen here a few months. never met anyone from here as yet. you can PM anyone if you like the sound of them but keep it brief until you get a response and build up a patter with them. i have had a few ask me do i meet for sex in their first message if i like their profile i just say lets get to know each other a bit first then see how it goes. also (im not suggesting your niave) meet in public the first meet anyone can sound nice a friend of mine met a bloke from a chatline when she told him very polietly she didnt want to see him again he turned very nasty and she had to involve police and obtain a harassment order,thankfully not everyone takes rejection so badly but there is some sweetheart so just take it carefully and make careful considerations and welcome. wink

It's fine to send messages, but most people don't like being added as a friend until you've got to know each other. In the chatroom, always ask before whispering, although most single males aren't bothered imo. biggrin

Certainly agree with building up conversation in the chatroom and going to socials. I would advise if you are a single lady in particular you meet in a public place for a social drink first to make sure that you are 100% happy with what is going on xxxx Feel free to send me any messages via my profile or catch me in the chatroom.
