hi all just want to throw a ball in the air .what is the thoughts from the mods and and members with ref to a mentor type scheme to establish members id and bring those who are gen into the community with a veiw to everybody being comfortable and meeting and forming new genuine friends ...the balls in the air knock it about intrested to see how it lands?

There is such a scheme. If you look near the top of anyone's profile, you will see that they are either "established" members or that they are still to be established. Only established members can establish others. It is meant to be an indication that you have met the member in question and that they are genuine and they are who they say they are.
There is also the comments system, where you can write comments about other members you know or have got to know through either meeting or other forms of contact.
