This is the Bays monday moan, having had a change in the house hold,by this i mean that now the sexy Kat is now the main bread winner having two jobs bless her and that i am now the house husband looking after the house and our two children, and let me tell you that any one that says looking after the house ect is easy then i would like to have a word (all you housewives i take my hat off to ya or anything else lol)but what really gets my goat is going into my local tescos that the ticketing is diabollical,i have a budget and like to know what i am paying for said items before i get to the checkout, when i query this, and explain to the best of my knowledge that it is a legal requirment to have a correct ticket in front of the correct item,i was told that it is only illegal to have the wrong price, but to have no price at all is OK,so when you go shopping do you want to know the price?are tescos getting that big now that they cannot get the basics right?lets face it selling food is what got them here in the first place!yes i know i can hear you saying well Neil don't shop there then and yes you are right, this is a petty quibble but it does wind me up,any blokes out there that do the household shopping?well rant over, feel better now, love ya all,Neil The bays.
Maybe you just have a crappy Tesco *shrug*
Our Tescos has price check machines down every aisle, not that I particually take any notice, it always makes me sound like an old person when I look at the prices and do the 'i remember when you could get a loaf of bread for 30p' lol
Neil welcome to my world. But luckily our kids are much older and do their own ironing and room vacuuming, which clearly makes my workload somewhat easier than yours m8y. I dont find Tesco to bad in Cheltenham so maybe its your store?? Take care you guys xxx
Thanks blondes we must have a crappy tescos then jels (room elder lol) my kids are in training on the domestic front and making good progress, you take care too xxxxx
Neil, could I make a suggestion coming from someone who is having to stick with a budget at the moment.
Do your Tesco shopping online. You have more of a selection, you can pick the time you want it delivered (anywhere between 7am-11pm) and your shopping cart gives you a tally of how much you are spending. I find this works for me as I only end up buying the things I need rather than all the stuff I see and I think looks yummy! Plus on a lot of items they have a box where you can search for cheaper alternatives if you are really conscious of sticking to your budget.
Plus this could work well for you if you are at home looking after the kids and you don't need to drag them around the supermarket.
Happy shopping!
Oli xxx
I do my Tesco shopping online & get it delivered, not that I`m a lazy fecker, its just easier & I hated queueing my local Asdas(10 deep & a few empty cash points).
Thanks oli for your input it is very much appreciated, just the point was i like to see the price so i can make an informed decisionnot to much to ask me thinks, when people go shopping do they just pick up the items without thinking what it costs?its just that i think as companies get bigger the customer service tends to decline, hmmmmmm customer service now there is a another rant brewing lol!!!!!!
and hi ya debbs trust you are getting better????
Oh please don't start me on customer service.... there just wouldn't be enough server space available on SP !!!
Asda is cheaper than Tesco , I have found. And never never ever ever go food shopping with your children. You buy loads of stuff that noone actually wants to eat, you end up woth trolley rage and just want to lie down in the aisles and cry.
I have done shopping online. If you use their services for first time its great cos you can get free delivery and money off.
As for customer service, we are a helpful lot up here and I never have any problems. Mind you having been to canada lots now they have got customer service sorted . Woohoo roll on moving.
Never do Tesco's so can't say anything to be honest ... most supermarkets only seem to care about profit anyway so they aint really gonna give 2 hoots because at the end of the day we all have to do food shopping...
Asda's I now avoid like the plague as well .. getting worse everytime I dare to enter a store and whenever I've shopped online there's always lots they suddenly have run out of - grrrrrrrrr!!
..think I might just try to become self sufficient.. but then again we leave the UK as soon as possible so things may be much better lol
We alwys try to use our local shops as in use em or lose em, there is a good fruit & veg market in Kingston, you can see the quality & as they are there all the time run by interested owners so the price is also keen. When we need a supermarket it has to be Waitrose who again are no more expensive,
Q & A xxx

Sandi..... I soooooo agree. NEVER EVER EVER go shopping with three kids in tow. You end up with total trolley rage, a trolley over flowing with food noone is actually ever gonna eat but looked good, no money in your bank account and 3 new toys just cos u were gonna abandon the kids in the shop unless u bribed them to behave with a toy. Grrrrrrrr.... Oh and then you have to go back to supermarket 2 days later cos they all complaining there is no food in the house.
He he been there done that .... bless 'em lol xxx
As the cookerman of the house know that only men can do sensible food shopping lots of good fresh food & ..............:beer: & mmmmmmmmmm
