.... do you think the dwindling numbers on the site could have something to do with all the moaning going on in the forums? I'm not saying it's the only factor, but common sense should tell us that if any prospective new members popped in to have a look around to see what the site is like and saw all the rubbish in the forums, that they might just immediately close their browser after reading the forums? I know I would. But that's just me.
Maybe if you have any technical problems, with the chatroom for example, raise them in the appropriate way by raising a support ticket.
Maybe keep all the infighting out of the forums and keep it private among the parties involved rather than having a public spat like a school child.
Maybe keep all your moaning to yourselves and if you do feel the need to raise any issues about the site, do it in the appropriate way by contacting admin directly with your concerns.
Maybe if you have a problem with any particular member, keep it amongst yourselves and sort it out amongst yourselves without getting everyone else needlessly involved.
Maybe all the negativity that has taken over the forums lately is actually contributing to the drop in membership on the site.
Maybe the reason this year's MK social doesn't have as long an attendance list as it has done in previous years is because of all the negativity in the thread about the social.
Maybe we have all been contributing to our own downfall.
Maybe we should all just give it a rest.
Maybe this site is about having fun and chatting to and meeting with like-minded people. I could be wrong.
Maybe life could be a bit more fun if we all stopped taking it so seriously.
Maybe I need a shag.
Just maybe.
Maybe I should shut up now and just drink my beer.
Oliviak I am In Total Agreement with everything you have said
I simply cannot be bothered with all the garbage that has gone on, in the site for some time
We have lost a lot of members over the last 12 months and this is the biggest reason I believe.
Well said and I admire you for calling it Right on this one Am behind you 110%.
Richard
to be honest i have said this for sometime
the negativity on this site is crap and you know what im fed up of trying to get MK off the ground
might as well talk to the trees or walls ......................... if no one wants to make the effort then MK is finished
as for spats between people they should keep between themselves there seems to be a lot of people putting their tenpeneth in and keeping the shit going
when i was at school .......... there were little groups who bitched and moaned about each other and that is how it is on here ................
off now to the other forum and closing MK 6 down ......
there are alternative to that nite for people who have arranged babysitters ......... who feel mk is not going to be the right place to be ..........
by the way if the site is shite why do people stay ...................
Well I am hoping this thread can be the end of it. I don't think replies are even necessary and hope people just read it, think about it, take it on board and move on.
People stay, like me, in the hope that things pick up on the site. Especially long-standing members who remember how great this site used to be. Lets hope that it picks back up again and this lull is just part of a cycle.
Things can only get better. (who sung that song?)
Oli xx
D:REAM, loved that song. The astromony guy was in that band, the guy thats now on the tele, cant rem his name ;0)

Maybe, gawd knows Oli.........although I'll add a maybe.
Maybe, infact I'm certain that this place ended up on the downwards spiral when they made the grave error of handing out free memberships to ALL who were registered on here from 2005. That was a few years back. No, the site won't recover, no maybe about it.
But.... never mind hey, plenty of other sites to go on ;o)
mwahxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
i have to agree with you, the big error was the free memberships to the 2005 people, Fingers crossed the site does recover but i think it will be very hard for it to do so. xx
thinkin they mite have to go the way of another site we on ..... make it free for all ...... they dont seem to have a problem with members or peeps in chat rooms ... always busy ...
Here's my two-penneth, please don't shout at me...
I think everyone who has commented has a valid point in one way or another.
Personally I think things started to change for the worse when they 'upgraded' the site to what it is now.
I still prefer the simplicity of the old site. Some things on here still don't work for me like the Video Gallery; the videos don't play. And as we know the chatroom has problems at time.
There are some good points but I think they are outweighed by the bad.
And one thing that continues to bug me is the fact I can't tell who is a full member and who is a free member.
I was a member of another site and like this one it was 'upgraded' and its now totally dead in the water. Prior to the 'upgrade' it was always very busy and popular.
I think the phrase "if it ain't broke don't try and fix it" springs to mind.
But none of this is a moan, it's just an opinion.
