when I use the site at work at freezes on the whole site at around 4am for about half an hour. This maybe when they do backups or whatever, but still frustrating

This is really strange because absolutely nothing has changed.
We have made several thorough checks on everything and nothing is indicating a problem at all. We have the exact same chat room servers and settings that run on other sites we have and none of them are causing a problem which is making it difficult to fix.
We have just upgraded the software on the SP chat room server which we are monitoring. Lets hope this problem clears up once and for all.
will try again, seein as someone decided to delete last post, we r leaving the site due to the problems regarding the chatroom etc and the lack of interest admin appear to be showing relating to it, anyone who wants to stay in touch can do via alternative devices, just give us a shout

hi dont mean to sound rude but taking the piss out of the what is happing i the chat not really fun wouldnt be to bad if we werent paying for it xx it might sound petty but we pay gud money for the site and and it should be maintained up to the standreds you all promise x

came into chat tonight, crashed 3 times in 5 mins. Give up, I'm off till its sorted. Don't pay memebership fees for this. Do we get a refund for the times we can't use the site???
Memebership is up in 2 weeks, just hope its sorted by then or I'm leaving too!
:devil: my renewal is due on 5th june and dont think i will be coming back if the room carrys on like it has its just not on we pay money for it and we cant even go in and chat without it crashing every 2 mins admin keep promising its gunna get sorted but i dont see them making much of an efffort to get it sorted admin is gunna loose alot of good customers absolute :wank: :wank:

Well we won't leave because of chatroom as this is the best swinging site there is and we've tried quite a few others lol, including SH which if you get chucked out of you have to wait five minutes before you can even try to get back in.
However, Admin it's really really bad. Was in there tonight and the chat went down three times within five minutes and it is getting tiresome. It does appear to be OK during the day though.
Please sort it out, and soon.

I haven't tried to access the chat room for a while now as there seems to be a few people who thrive on competitiveness at the moment and thats not what a swinging chat room is about. We have been on SP for 2 years now and always enjoyed the banter and meeting like minded people. I know I'm not the only person who thinks this way but I'm known for my openess and honesty so I thought it being a "anything goes" forum I'd stick my two pennorth worth in! I must admit it is frustrating for members to not be able to access the chat room as and when they please BUT we've been here 2 years and it happens from time to time (as do the influx of jealous and competitive people) - I have every faith in admin as I have seen these probs before and know they will sort it but at the end of the day they aren't robots and can't sort the problems out in a jiffy - it takes time.
Well I think that it is safe to say that the software upgrade did naff all. We have one last card to play whilst I try to get the chat room moved onto another server.
Just to update again, the chat room is now on a new server. Just so there is no confusion, this does not mean that there is a new chat room, just the server which hosts the application has been changed.
Wooohooooo admin well done.
The chat room last night was dreadful to say the least, crashing every 3 minutes or so. We gave up in the end and spoke to our friends on the phone, was much easier lol.
Heres to a better chat room now the servers have been changed.
