The first time this message was posted, I didn't bother to reply on the grounds that I found it mildly offensive.
The second time you posted it I started thinking about WHY I found it offensive, because I definitely qualify on the ‘large lady' front, and if I'm offended then I'm pretty sure I'm not going to be alone. So you're never going to get the results you're after from your advert.
For a start, not all large women are happy with the way they look – speaking personally I'm very self conscious about the way I look, and while I know there's plenty of men out there who like the larger lady, I'm happier if my figure is referred to as ‘womanly curves' rather than ‘rolls of excess flesh'
Secondly, all the ladies in here have brains, and personalities – they're not just a lump of flesh (extra large or otherwise) and deserve to be treated with respect rather than as a sex object. Probably better to try and get to know people first, and then when you find someone to chat to who you're interested in, then discuss what you're looking for with them in private.
Lastly, capital letters are rarely a good idea in an online advert, there's no need to shout – we may be large but we're not deaf!
Here is a male point of view .... I found the profile ad , and the forum ad offensive, and i'm a single guy ???
Although as stated, we can cut him some slack as I also started off thinking I knew what women wanted to hear, but you do learn to tone it down.
